About the Organisers

Grain SA

As the Show is owned by Grain SA members, its continued existence depends on meeting the needs of these farmers first and foremost.

A unique feature of the NAMPO Agricultural Trade Show is the absence of paid officials as the organisation is operated by the farmers for their fellow farmers. The concept manifests itself through a system of committees and subcommittees involving the members in all phases of planning and execution. During the duration of the Show all tasks on the Showground are carried out by Grain South Africa members, their wives and friends of the Organisation.

Serving the Farmers Needs

The Show exists mainly for all summer grain farmers. The contact between exhibitors and farmers, as well as inter-action between farmers is of prime importance. More than 35 000 farmers attend the exhibition every year and while the majority of them come from the summer grain areas. The Show's popularity draws farmers from all over Southern Africa, thus farmers from the Western and Eastern Cape, Namibia, Mpumalanga, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Angola, Botswana, Swaziland and Lesotho attend the NAMPO Agricultural Trade Show. The Show has become known internationally and is also attended regularly by visitors from the rest of and abroad.
