29 Mar 2011The agricultural sector has the potential to create more job opportunities than the mining sector. But if the current uncertainties in the sector aren’t resolved, there will be more job losses instead of new job opportunities being created.
This was according to deputy agriculture minister Dr Pieter Mulder, who was a guest speaker at a recent dinner hosted by ALG Estates in Citrusdal in the Western Cape. Agricultural Writers South Africa named ALG the 2010 South African Farmer of the Year.
