19 Aug 2011Agricultural machinery sales for July have shown further remarkable growth. The 704 tractors and 20 combine harvesters bought last month were up 64,9% and 122,2% respectively on the 427 tractors and nine combine harvesters sold in July 2010.
The SA Agricultural Machinery Association (SAAMA) also reported that for the year-to-date July 2011, 3 772 tractors had been bought , which is 34,3% up from the July 2010 figure of 2 809. For combine harvesters, the July 2011 sales of 165 units were 18,7% up from last year’s 139 units.
