08 Jul 2011
South Africa’s primary agricultural exports declined significantly, from R7,5 billion in the third quarter of 2010 to R4,2 billion in the fourth quarter, while primary agricultural imports moved more or less sideways. The trade surplus of primary products fell from R5,2 billion to R2,2 billion, according to the May edition of TradeProbe, published by the National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC) in co-operation with the agriculture department.
