The rand/dollar exchange rate weakened from October 2012 to October 2013. Due to this depreciation
in the exchange rate from R8,641 in October 2012 to R9,961 in October 2013, the percentage decrease
in international prices in rand terms were less than the percentage decrease of international prices in
dollar terms. See Tables 2 and 3, as well as Graph 2.

Die rand/dollar-wisselkoers het van Oktober 2012 tot Oktober 2013 verswak. As gevolg van hierdie
verswakking in die wisselkoers vanaf R8,641 in Oktober 2012 tot R9,961 in Oktober 2013 was die
persentasiedaling in internasionale pryse in randterme laer as die persentasiedaling in internasionale
pryse in dollarterme. Sien Tabel 2 en 3 asook Grafiek 2 .
