with its expertise and capacity, protects the interests of its members within the input, production,
market and policy environment with great success. Because of the success Grain SA has achieved,
producers increasingly realise the value of Grain SA as an industry organisation.
A portion of the levy is also returned to the existing branch structures and provincial agricultural unions.
Funding agreements with Free State Agriculture, Agri North West and Agri Western Cape are currently in
place, while agreements were also concluded with Agri Limpopo, Agri Northen Cape and Agri Gauteng.
Since the introduction of the commodity levy Grain SA has used collection agents who provide support with
the collection of the levies. Grain SA would like to thank all these collection agents for their ongoing and loyal
support. The following institutions assisted us with the collection of the commodity levy over the past year:
Afgri, Allem Bros, Bester Voer & Graan, BKB Grainco, Botselo Mills, Farmsecure, GWK, Schoeman
Boerdery, Kaap Agri, Maize & More, MKB, Nobel Resources, NTK, NWK, NWK Boerdery, OVK,
Overberg Agri, Pannar, Perdigon, Pimankus, Prodsure, Senwes, Silostrat, Soill, SSK, Suidwes, Garden
Route Agri, TWK, Unigrain, VKB, Free State Maize and Western Cape Grain.
New collection agents are appointed all the time and Agricol, Godrich Mills, NuPro and Roba Nuts
also came on board as collection agents in 2013, while discussions are being held with various other
potential collection agents.
However, it remains the responsibility of every grain producer to ensure that his commodity levy is
collected and paid to Grain SA to ensure that the producer remains a full member of Grain SA. If a
member delivers grain to an institution that does not act as a collection agent, the commodity levy
can be paid directly to Grain SA. Grain SA would like to thank those producers who do pay their
levies in this manner.
BEDRYFSHEFFING
Afgri, Allem Bros, Bester Voer & Graan, BKB Grainco, Botselo Mills, Farmsecure, GWK, Schoeman
Boerdery, Kaap Agri, Maize and More, MKB, Nobel Resources, NTK, NWK, NWK Boerdery, OVK,
Overberg Agri, Pannar, Perdigon, Pimankus, Prodsure, Senwes, Silostrat, Soill, SSK, Suidwes,
suksesse besef
produsente al hoe
meer die waarde
van Graan SA as
bedryfsorganisasie.
