Social media

Social media is one of the fastest growing industries worldwide. When

it comes to immediacy, news reporting, marketing, public relations and

the art of doing business, social media tops the list. It has evolved from

a nice to have into a necessity. For this reason, Grain SA is constantly

developing its social media platforms in order to raise awareness of its

activities among all stakeholders, to educate, inform and engage the

public and to get people talking.

Grain SA continued to strengthen its online platforms and utilised

its social media communication channels fully. The digital media

strategy, describing how Grain SA should communicate online,

to whom and when was reassessed and amended as the year

progressed. The strategy mainly focuses on information transfer,

engagement, community building, brand awareness and reputation

management, education and to build a far-reaching online presence

by simplifying content sharing between our target audience and their

networks. It aims to drive higher awareness of Grain SA and its service

offering, and introduced new online communication platforms which

ensured the organisation reached a broader audience. Grain SA is

now active on four key platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and

YouTube) with over 34 000 fans and followers across all platforms.

tale geldelike AVE-waarde van R103 929 266 miljoen. Graan SA se AVE

het die afgelope drie verslagdoeningstydperke bestendig gegroei, soos in

Grafiek 4

(op bladsy 33) getoon word.

Sosiale media

Sosiale media is een van die bedrywe wat wêreldwyd die vinnigste

groei. Wanneer dit by onmiddellikheid, nuusverslae, bemarking, openbare

betrekkinge en die kuns van sake doen kom, is sosiale media boaan die

lys. Dit het van ’n lekkerte in ’n noodsaaklikheid verander. Om hierdie

rede ontwikkel Graan SA voortdurend sy sosialemediaplatforms om alle

belanghebbendes van sy aktiwiteite bewus te maak en die publiek op te

voed, in te lig en te betrek, en mense aan die gesels te kry.

Graan SA het voortgegaan om sy aanlyn-platforms te versterk en

het sy sosialemedia-kommunikasiekanale ten volle benut. Die sosiale­

mediastrategie beskryf hoe, met wie en wanneer Graan SA aanlyn

moet kommunikeer en is in die loop van die jaar hersien en gewysig. Die

strategie fokus hoofsaaklik op inligtingoordrag, betrokkenheid, gemeen-

skapsbou, handelsmerkbewustheid en reputasiebestuur, opvoeding, en

om ’n verreikende aanlyn-teenwoordigheid op te bou deur die deel van

inhoud tussen ons teikengehoor en hulle netwerke te vergemaklik. Die

doel is om groter bewustheid van Graan SA en sy diensaanbod te skep,

en nuwe aanlyn-kommunikasieplatforms is geskep om te verseker dat

die organisasie ’n wyer gehoor bereik. Graan SA is nou op vier platforms

aktief (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram en YouTube), met meer as 34 000

aanhangers en volgelinge oor al die platforms.
