Phahama Grain Phakama (PGP) is Grain SA’s farmer development programme, dedicated to supporting developing grain producers across South Africa −from subsistence to new-era commercial farmers. Through mentorship, training and capacity building, the team supports developing farmers across six provinces making the most of their land to contribute to household and national food security.

Despite the challenges and many other changes over more than 20 years, the heartbeat of the Grain SA Farmer Development Programme remains unchanged. PGP cares about agricultural development in South Africa and farmers growing their enterprises even in challenging environments. The team strives to make a positive difference wherever they are involved.
