86 Grain SA entities Nampo (Pty) Ltd in the Grain SA group facilitates and manages all the commercial activities of the organisation, including the NAMPO Harvest Day, NAMPO Cape, NAMPO ALFA, the events division at NAMPO Park, and the publishing of the SA Graan/Grain magazine. These activities are valuable assets and play an important role in the financial support of Grain SA. The year under review was very successful. NAMPO Harvest Day improved several records, while NAMPO Cape further strengthened its position as a core event in the Western Cape with record attendance and exhibitors. NAMPO ALFA, the most recent addition to the portfolio, further strengthened its basis and is establishing itself despite challenges like the foot-and-mouth disease outbreak. The SA Graan/Grain magazine once again had a strong year, with sustained advertising support and the implementation of a digital strategy that ensures future growth in the digital media space. The function division expanded its role by not accommodating only internal but also external events. Important investments in accommodation facilities, which can now house more than 100 guests, and the development of the new caravan park, have already led to a notable increase in business activities and the utilisation of NAMPO Park. All the commercial activities contribute to the greater aim of sustainable grain and oilseed production in South Africa. Nampo (Pty) Ltd functions at a professional level, with strategic guidance by the Nampo Board and appropriate corporate management processes in accordance with the Grain SA Constitution and the Companies Act. NAMPO Harvest Day 2025: A year of growth, commitment and impact The 57th NAMPO Harvest Day, presented by Grain SA from 13 to 16 May 2025 at NAMPO Park, Bothaville, achieved new heights with a record attendance of 87 191 visitors and more than 900 exhibitors. As the biggest grain-focused agricultural trade show in the southern hemisphere, its role as strategic meeting point for the agricultural value chain was strengthened by the event.
