Food shortages predicted for Southern Africa

Extreme weather conditions and economic constraints could lead to food shortages in several Southern African countries by August. According to a Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS) report, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, Swaziland and Zimbabwe could experience food shortages until next year’s harvest season.
