Agri SA launches Mozambican arm

08 Jun 2011
Farmers wanting to branch out into other African countries must first make sure there’s a firm agreement in place between the South African government and the host government, says Dr Theo de Jager, deputy president of Agri SA. Speaking at the launch of AgriSaMoz, which will represent South African farmers in Mozambique, Dr De Jager said a whole new avenue has opened up for South African farmers, but “we must ensure that we can hold our government accountable if we lose our assets there. It must be as safe as possible for our farmers.”
