11th AMT AGRI OUTLOOK CONFERENCE

The AMT AGRICULTURAL OUTLOOK ONFERENCE, has become an institution in Southern African Agriculture, and will be held on 13 and 14 September 2011 at the CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. The sponsors SENWES, ABSA, AFGRI Operations, Landbouweekblad, Land Bank, National Agricultural Marketing Council, Nedbank, NWK, Protein Research Foundation; Oil & Protein Seeds Development Trust, and Santam Agriculture, make this conference possible. We are expecting 350 delegates, producers and producer organizations, agribusinesses, the media, government decision makers and other role-players in the Southern African Agriculture. "Does the SA Constitution protect producers?" is one of the topics. "Black sheep in extraordinary times: how to keep motivated!" is discussed by Mr Vusi Thembekwayo, a motivational speaker, while Mr Phakamani Hadebe of Land Bank’s topic will be "Developing Financial Institutions and their mandate". Mr Mike Schussler, will discuss the Economic Forecast 2012 - 2014 and Mr Corwyn Botha of Cape Agri, will discuss “The way forward - South African agribusinesses”. Mr Stuart Symington (Fresh Produce Export Forum)'s topic is "Export Opportunities SA 2012". Mr Gert van der Linde, will be discussing the availability of fertilizer in the future, whilst “The outlook for Land Reform and the impact on food security in Southern Africa” will be discussed by Dr Theo de Jager (Agri SA). Mr Ernst Janovsky (ABSA Agribusiness), will be doing the projections on the different commodities and Mr Johan van den Berg (SANTAM Agriculture) will discuss the weather outlook for 2012. The importance of infrastructure in trade and agriculture will be explained. A conference dinner on Day 1 will also include price draws and a guest artist. The registration fee for 2 day conference is R6500.00 (excluding VAT) per person.If you are attending the gala dinner on 13 September 2011, the cost will be R200.00 (excluding VAT) per person payable in addition. The cost for an exhibition space for the two days differs between R5000 and R8000.00 (excluding VAT) adepending on size of the stand. Please register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
